Who needs TV when you have nature’s horizon to watch? There are many happy memories we gathered during our Workaway adventure in Otres Beach, but one that won’t fade are the variety of stunning sunsets that captured our attention that spanned the spectrum from the palest of pinks to vivid orange.
All of these sunsets are untouched and unaltered, they’re just as nature intended them to be. Mesmerising daily events that reminded us of the majesty of nature.
Flashpacking through Cambodia
Flashpacking through Cambodia: For Baby Boomers on a Budget is my latest Roving Jay travel guide full of travel tips, advice, and sample itineraries for flash packers who want the back packing experience without foregoing some of life’s creature comforts – like a comfortable bed, a hot shower, free wi-fi, and somewhere to plug your electric toothbrush in.
I spent almost three months backpacking around Cambodia in 2017/2018 to research this travel guide, and I share insights and first hand knowledge of tourist traps and off-the-beaten-path discoveries. We ate street food, drank 50c beers, and travelled by train, bus, minivan and tuktuk to identify the best ways to get from A to B.

What a beautiful part of the world. The colour in the sunsets is just magical. What a way to finish each day. 🙂
Love your idea to showcase the sunsets. They really are spectacular. Watching the sun set is an integral part of any trip for me. A chance to meditate on the day & always brings a sense of peace.
I couldn’t believe the skies at Otres Beach, the pictures don’t do them justice really. It really was a stunning end to the day, and each one was unique.
I loved Cambodia but sadly didn’t reach any of the beaches. These photos are so beautiful and perfectly capture the moment of the sunsetting Thanks for sharing.
Wow! Just Wow! I am a sunset chaser and I love that part of the day to just sit and relax over a glass of red wine, allowing my thoughts to wander. Love these pictures absolutely. They are so beautiful, perfect, mesmerising in every way. Scrolling through, I didn’t want it to end. Thank you for sharing these special captures, unedited and full of colours.
Thanks Georgina … it had some of the most stunning sunsets I’ve ever seen during my various travels. Each one unique in its own way.
