Roman Bridge view of the Igreja de Santa Maria
This is the renowned Roman Bridge it Tavira, which isn’t actually from Roman times. But it’s a key landmark that people use to give directions. There are so many elements within this sketch that I’m not satisfied with, but as far as capturing a moment in time, it works.
I’m not sure how enthusiastic I’ll be about attempting this view of Tavira again, but I am intrigued to sketch a close-up view of the Igreja de Santa Maria in the background from this angle. I just wish I could get a more elevated view of that clump of buildings.
Wow, what amazing details you captured, it looks grand!
Thanks so much Gail. It’s a picturesque town and I know I’m going to end up painting and sketching it again … and again.
