Romancing The Genres is a collaboration of writers (from newbies to multi-published authors) who write in many different sub-genres and each bringing a unique perspective to not only their own stories but to their perception of Romance. Over the years hybrid authors have been added to the mix—who write both fiction and non-fiction. But I’m the first contributor who is 100% non-fiction. I wouldn’t know how to write a fictional romance novel, but just because I don’t write fiction, doesn’t mean I can’t write about things I’m passionate about.
Each month the site owners set a prompt, and although its use is not mandatory I like the idea of writing to a prompt and seeing what evolves in my article. The August prompt is Thankful, and I wrote about why I was thankful for the Covid-19 Pandemic.
My guest posts are scheduled for the last Wednesday of each month, so please visit Romancing the Genres to read my contributions. While you’re there, please leave a comment to show support for this writer’s collective.
This brought tears to my eyes. It’s really painful when your mother in her last days does not recognize you but you got that opportunity to spend her sunset days with her because of a pandemic would always be the silver lining in the dark cloud for you.
