Gentes do Mercado 2022 Urban Sketch postcards

The Direção Regional de Cultura do Algarve have featured the postcard series that was part of the Gentes do Mercado exhibition in September 2022, on their website. This annual event takes place at the market to promote the healthy Mediterranean diet.

Urban Sketchers Algarve hosted the sketching event last June, and the sketches were exhibited at the Tavira Mercardo in September. It was my first foray with this urban sketching group, and I can’t wait for my next one.

Filipe, one of our fellow urban sketchers captured us all having lunch. That’s me at the end in the striped shirt – not impressed with the Portuguese liquor shot they ordered.
