Artesis Gallery – call for East Algarve artists

Tavira-based Artesis gallery is looking for local artists to submit artwork for the 2024 ‘Alvaro de Campos’ exhibition.

Every year, ARTESIS hosts an exhibition of original artwork, created by artists living and working in the East Algarve.

This ‘artistic birthday party’ is a celebration of Alvaro de Campos, one of a number of heteronyms created by the famous Portuguese writer and poet Fernando Pessoa. (Fernando Pessoa, had a family association with Tavira and decided to create the alias Álvaro de Campos as having been born in this city on October 15, 1890..)

This art show opens Thursday October 17th and runs until November 16th.
